I thought I was going to come along late to this (midday-ish), but after my complete cockup with the bank this morning, I'm really, truly, really, absolutely not going to be able to make it (nor can I really justify the expense, given the "OMG I got paid much less than expected...again" situation this morning, and the vet bill etc).

Gak.

Could someone please thank Tony for being a high profile vegetarian, and for all of his work with animals and raising the profile of positive animal activism on my behalf? (Susan, I may be looking at you for this).

And, of course, try and get some licking in Laughing

I have had many offers to get me along to this event, and I have been saying Thank You and Maybe a lot, due to serious fears for my financial well being and ability to pay folks back etc. Thank you to everyone who has offered to help me out - it's insanely generous of everybody.

However, the most effective offer has been the phone call I received just now, advising me that there would be a ticket waiting for me at the desk when I turn up and that I'm not allowed to not go.

So be prepared to fight me as far as the Tony licking goes.

Thank you, masked ticket purchaser. You have made my day much much shinier than it was before.

I was trying to get 'Giles the Donkey' over here - as part of one of Tony's favoured charities 'safe haven 4 donkeys' and take some donations for them, but we couldn't get it organised in time, sadly.

I too was planning to thank him for his animal activism, there's not enough celebrities doing things to support animals, and it makes me so happy that he's doing it.

I am right at this moment listening to Tony singing 'Lean on Me' and he just totally f*cked it up....hahahahahah!

Man...he has the most sublime voice...even over a mobile phone!!!

I am pretty darn jealous and wishing I was there!!!

Hahahahah he screwed it up even more now....hahah he stopped singing it!

Someone on the end of my row had started swaying with a lighter in their hand, Tony opened his eyes, saw it, and howled with laughter so hard that he almost fell off his chair - that was the first stop in that song. Awesome moment - he has the best laugh (and, oh yes, the voice...)

fyi: my apologies for some of the fuzzy/blurry - especially as it happens the times that i wanted to take pics of him...when he was smiling! except that when he was smiling he was usually laughing and i was laughing right along with him...which meant my camera moved! Confused
